100,000 tons of discarded clothes a year: How to recycle?

We discard nearly 100,000 tons of clothes every year, according to data from the textile industry in Bulgaria. In line with European directives, Bulgaria is required to develop a strategy for more efficient recycling of clothes and environmental protection against tons of textile waste. Many other Member States have already adopted eco-friendly fashion policies.

Until these changes become a reality, the most reliable method to prevent our old clothes from polluting the environment is to locate a dedicated container for their disposal.
